Ode to a Peaceful Marriage
Author: Lindsey Mason, © 1998-2001

Your sins I keep engraven
On stones within my mind
Ready to be thrown
When I perfection find

Your faults are listed
In my book of wrongs not right
Ready to recount
Before the Lord of Might

Each and every evil thought
Of yours I treasure in my heart
For tearing you apart
On judgement day

With joy I'll tell your harm
My hurt upon your head
With glee I'll watch you squirm
Stripped and left for dead

I live in peace
But live to kill
Your punishment
Will be my thrill

Comments by Lindsey:
A poem that was written in jest, was meant to be absurd and turned out to be rather too like the reality.
