NOTHIN' BUT TROUBLE (Sedkowski, Krier, © 2001)
Singer and Songwriter: Laura Krier

Laura KrierVERSE 1
No I didn't realize
You were after me
How was I supposed to know
You were chasin' me

VERSE 2
No - I didn't know
And I'm still surprised
That I got you goin'
Turned you on - I was givin' you a rise

BRIDGE
Baby I'm far... - too complicated
Honey - do... yourself a favor
Listen up - Hear what I'm sayin'
'Cause I'm gonna do your head in
I can be bad - I can be mean
I can be everything in between
I'm not tryin' to knock you back
But you gotta know the truth - and tellin' you now...

CHORUS
Baby - I'm nothin' but trouble
Honey - don't you know what I mean
Mister - I'm nothin' but trouble
You gotta stay away
Stay away from girls like me

VERSE 3
Gotta tread carefully
'Cause you're charmin' me
Is it sincerity
You arouse my curiosity

VERSE 4
But don't get carried away
With the things you do and say
You want me to - give it up to ya
But I'm not sure it's good for ya

Comments by Laura:
Good men are hard to find, and these days, one can never be too careful. There are guys out there who are like Jekyll & Hyde. There are guys out there who beat-up women. In short, there are a lot of creeps out there, so women -- be wise. Take it from me. I know first hand. When I left an abusive relationship of three years it really screwed me up. I didn't trust anyone and most of all, I didn't trust men, so I wrote this song as a warning to my gentlemen suitors. It's a sort of disclaimer for the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that ensued --and I'd like to thank my ex-husband for that, and for this song. The SOB certainly made me tough.
