Rhiannon3_'s Story

The most significant thing about my domestic violence story is the fact that I overcame the situation and found a way out - and I lived. The pattern of my story is not unusual, although, unlike many victims and survivors, I did not grow up in an environment of domestic violence. Many domestic violence victims do not live past the abusive relationship to help other victims or society in general to understand these relationships. But, I lived and regained my sense of self and emotional health. I am a survivor - one of the few survivors who writes as an author. I write in the hope of bringing change - change for someone, anyone, change for society.

I was not "conditioned" as a child to know domestic violence as a way of life. Quite to the contrary - my Father never struck or emotionally abused my Mother, nor did any members of my Father or Mother's families abuse their spouses or children. Some people do grow up knowing domestic violence as a way of life. And many victims are not poor, not welfare recipients, not all women (many are men, children or the elderly). However, all domestic victims and survivors have one thing in common.

Personally, I grew up believing in a lot of things, like all people. The thing I was taught to believe in most of all was my ability to conquer any obstacle, to solve any problem, that I could do anything I wanted if I tried hard enough. These are the things that make me who I am, and have brought me the success I have achieved outside of my domestic violence experience. That is the reason I have been able to write, driven to establish the Rhiannon3, Inc. organization and this website, and have knowledge to contribute to anyone needing domestic violence information.

It is very heartening to see so many victims reaching out on the web - and the websites by support agencies, police departments and court systems are a blessing as well. In 1991, when I desperately needed any help I could find, those Internet resources weren't there.

I have written an eBook and prepared it for download where you can read the rest.
The eBook manuscript is also available on CD or in a printed version. More than just my personal story, it explains the phenomenon that traps so many in an abusive relationship.

It is my hope that the awful details of my story in my first marriage, my struggle in the court system, and how I found my resolve will make a difference for someone else. If I can inspire just one person to make a difference in their own life or a loved one's life, or to understand what domestic violence victims live with and why they make the choices they do - then that is enough for me. The Rhiannon3, Inc. non-profit organization asks for a $7.00 donation to download the eBook. I do not keep the proceeds personally. All proceeds are donated to the Rhiannon3, Inc. non-profit efforts against domestic violence. The eBook, CD version and printed version are all available through our discount bookstore.

If you want a riveting true tale of domestic violence, a first-hand understanding of why and how people get caught in these relationships, and the realities of dealing with domestic violence in the US court system, then get the eBook, CD or Printed Manuscript.

If you are a victim or survivor of domestic violence (or family member of one of these two) and honestly cannot afford to donate the $7.00, then concerning a free copy.

Thank you for your time,
Kim Eyer
